Healthy Bolognese Sauce - Fitness Bolognese Pasta

Ingredients for Bolognese Recipe:


2 pounds of grounded beef

4-5 carrots

4-5 celery sticks

1 onion

4 cloves of garlic

4-5 medium tomatoes

1 can of diced/crashed tomatoes

1 cup of tomato sauce

2 cups of chicken stock

olive oil

fresh thyme, basil

2 bay leaves

salt

pepper

Method

  1. Heat oil in a large-sized saucepan and then add veggies .

  2. Gently sauté mixture for a few minutes over a low-medium heat. Add mince, fry until brown.

  3. Bring veggies to side of the pan and add meat.

  4. Add salt, pepper, herbs, stock and simmer over a low heat for at least 60 minutes.

  5. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to instructions on packet. Drain. Serve with a large spoon of sauce over the pasta in a bowl.
